After a short run we came up with this plan, where getting migration steps in one place and doing it in a systematic procedure.
This Plan should be more suitable for Medium and Small Business environments
Meeting these requirements you can install Exchange 2010:

# Windows Server 2003 native Domain Functional Level and Forest functional level
Domain Functional Level should be at least 2003 Native

Migration from one platform of Exchange Server to another is very tedious job and require strong technical skills. But you have mad it easy. Thanks for sharing this helpful post. It will help the Exchange Server administrators to perform quick migration.
Some third party applications may also help to those users who are novice in this field or getting problem to migrate complete data. Here is one such popular application which deeply analyze the databases and then allow the users to easily migrate from one platform to another: http://www.serversdatarecovery.com/exchange.html
It first fixes the corrupted items if it founds during the analyze process in the databases and after rebuilding the database, user can easily restore it to new platform.
Thanks Eric !!

Thank you for your comments sanjay,
I don’t see instructions on how to configure a routing group connector between ex2003 and 2010. Also, can both OWA coexist during the migration ?
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998574(v=exchg.141).aspx
New-RoutingGroupConnector -Name “Interop RGC” -SourceTransportServers “Hub2010.contoso.com” -TargetTransportServers “Bridgehead2003.contoso.com” -Cost 100 -Bidirectional $true
..
Yes Owa can coexist
Hi Satheshwaran,
I’ve been reading your articles and following you post for long time. I will be doing migration from exchange 2003 to exchange 2010 during this weekend and little confuse when it comes to “internet Facing Server”. Could please help understanding it.
RIght now i’ve exchange 2003(Computer name is MAIL and Domain name is XYZ.COM) running on windows 2003. I’ve installed new windows 2008 R2 (Computer name is SERVER and domain name is XYZ.com. Now i dont understand what should i enter in internet-facing server field?
I’ll be waiting for your kind response.
Hope I did answered via email 🙂
What should I do If I have a Single Label Domain name in my Active directory?
Can you be more elaborate ?
Can you move the PF data before the users? I know this creates havoc on the receiving server side.
