Send Connector is required to Send Emails over the internet from Exchange 2013 and Exchange 2016 Servers
Step 1:
Login to Exchange Administration Center (EAC) in Exchange 2013
Step 2:
Click on MailFlow -> Send Connectors –> Choose “+” New
Step 3:
Type a friendly name – Choose Next
Step 4:
Choose Mx Record associated with Recipient Domain – Choose Next
—
If you are planning to Route your internet mail via a Smart Host or Spam Filters – Specify the Smart host ip
Step 5:
Choose “+” Add
Type “*” to Specify all the domains to use this Connector
Lesser the Cost – More the priority.
Step 6:
If you have multiple Exchange 2013 Mailbox Servers you can configure the source server as per your Requirement
—
Or Use Powershell –
New-SendConnector -Name "Internet" -Usage "Internet" -SourceTransportServers "EXCH2013A","Exch2013C" -DNSRoutingEnabled $True -AddressSpaces ("SMTP:*;10") -IsScopedConnector $False -UseExternalDNSServersEnabled $false
Great you have configured a Internet Send Connector For your Exchange 2013 Server
thanks for this post. i would like to know if it is possible to share a domain namespace between Mdaemon email server and exchange 2013. currently the MX record is pointing at Mdaemon and an internal relay connected is configured to send emails to users on Mdaemon(a co-existence scenario). but sending emails to mailboxes on mdaemon is been queued on the exchange at intervals and delivers after a long period of time. sending from mdaemon to exchange 2013 drops immediately.
please i need your advice.
thanks,
Yes its possible. I guess we both spoke about it already
yes we did. i posted this earlier.
thanks
Hello Satheshwaran,
Before everything thank you for your great post, I enjoyed a lot. Would you please put a post about a wildcard certificate in order to install in Microsoft Exchange. This is because our company is using this certificate, and it will be expired on March, and I don’t know how to renew that. I surfed on the Internet a lot, and unfortunately I could not find a suitable post in this case,
Thanks
Sam
